Uploading video to YouTube The best video file to upload to Youtube should have:
- Video Format MPEG4 (including DivX or Xvid) preferably packed with the H.264 codec
- Audio mp3
- Resolution: minimum 480 × 360 but 640 × 480 is better now show the youtube video in 16:9, so if the footage was shot with this "aspect ratio" is also the resolution of the file to upload should follow the above parameters.
Eg. 640 × 360, 960 × 570 1280 × 720, and also because they are now officially supported HD video and not simply "high quality" above. If the movie was originally shot in 4:3 instead, it should be maintain the resolution of 640 × 480 (not used any of those mentioned above) or the video will appear stretched and actors "flared"
- Frame rate: 25 frames / s (PAL)
- Bitrate: 600Kbits above / s (though you can lead a person to 1000Kbits/so 2000Kbits / s as the limit for the size of files to upload to youtube is up to 1G)
